GritLIT

A few of my Hamilton paintings are going to be used to promote Hamilton's GritLIT Festival this year. This spring (2009) marks the fifth year for the local literary festival and I'm quite psyched to be featured on their posters and programmes. Keep checking the GritLIT website for information about visiting and local authors and events.

My Dog Joe

Tonight (Monday, November 10) I'm hanging eleven paintings at My Dog Joe -an excellent coffee shop in Westdale. Some of them are oldies, some of them are newbies, four of them are fresh off the brush and will dry in the car as I drive them over. Prices range from $50 (for a little roofline) to $600 (for your very own larger-than-life-sized Dan Griffin). Come eat grilled sandwiches and stare at them!

New Shows

I'm going to have work in a few different places this winter, including...
- A group of eight paintings, ranging in size from 4x4 to 60x30, will hang at Westdale's My Dog Joe for the month of November.
- The Home Recording painting I just finished will be part of the Winter Salon exhibition at Loose Canon this December and January.
- Mex-I-Can will be on display during the December members' show at Hamilton Artists' Inc.
Get out on the town and see some art!

One Down; One Up

All of Saturday's vendors froze their way through the fall Makers' Market and are now gearing up for the Christmas Special -Saturday December 6th from 10am-3/4pm. Fortunately for all involved, this market will be held on the warm and toasty inside of Christ's Church Cathedral (252 James Street North).
If you're looking for one-of-a-kind gifts, it doesn't get any better than this. There will be rows and rows of crafty and incredible local artists selling their goods. I'll have old and new paintings, cards, T-shirts and framed prints -in case you're buying for someone who happens to be my biggest fan this year...heck, even if you're not. Just because my family is tired of my handmade gifts doesn't mean yours won't love them.
Trust me.

Makers' Market Part 2

I'll be at the Makers' Market this Saturday, October 18th from 10am-3pm. This weekend, the Market takes place in the courtyard at Christ's Church Cathedral on James North. I have a tent, thermos of tea, Nalgene full of water, multiple layers of clothing and shower curtains acting as plastic walls for my tent, so I'm ready for whatever weather might hit. I'll have the usual -some paintings, cards, T-shirts (now in larger sizes), and a limited number of Robyn Dell'Unto's CD's. Please visit!
